I’ve decided that I need to pick up a new programming language and I chose ASP.NET using C# and the MVC framework. There are multiple reasons for this decision which I don’t really want to list here so you just have to accept that I had reasons.
I’ve spent a couple of days now setting up the development environment and started going through the MVC 3 tutorial. This is just a quick “watch out” post that I will be posting my experience in learning this new development environment. I did run into bumps but so far I was able to go past them all although I spent way too much time researching them. That’s why I decided to post my experience.
That’s it for today, see you soon in the next post, might be as early as tomorrow.

The other day I was watching a show on my DVR from the Science Channel. They were talking about the LHC and they mentioned that they can accelerate particles up to 99.995% of the speed of light. That made me think. 99.995 sounded pretty close to 100 and as we all know at 100% of the speed of light the mass of an object should be infinite. So I was wondering how much the mass of an object actually changes traveling at 99.995% of the speed of light. More >

UPDATE: This is an old version and Sprint has already released newer versions via OTA update. Chances are you already have a newer version than this. You shouldn’t use this any more.
I’m one of those impatient people who couldn’t wait until Tuesday for the official update and went through the manual process. There was a lot of confusion on every site I looked at so I figured I write down what I did and post every step with a screen shot. I should mention that this might not be the final update, but hey, it’s Froyo, and it’s available now.
Also, make sure your battery is fully charged. More >

I had the hardest time setting up my webroot for a Railo context running on Resin. I posted on the Railo Google Group but even with their help we couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. After some playing around I finally figured it out and so I wanted to write it down for paleontologists to find it 3000 years from now. Plus, in case someone else has the same issue and stumbles upon my blog… More >
